5th year of Otakon! 2011

Alright, so I've been meaning to write about my fifth adventure to the marvalous Otakon. The Wednesday before I went down, I made awesome cookies...but they melted in the heat. ;-;, but they were still good, warm and chewy.

Thursday:
I was just glad I didn't get rained on again. I got to spend the day with my friends Laura, Liz and Kitsune, and I was still in my PJ's XD. I was able to get my hotel room early, and my mom snoozed while I waited in line. Then, after we got the badges, me, my mom, and Kitsune took mini-naps in our hotel room while we waited for our other friend, Karen to arrive. Turns out we were still asleep when she arrived, and she just walked up to our room and waited. Then, we went to go have awesome burgers with my friends, Mat and Gianna and their friend Rose.

Friday:
I was all alone for most of the day, because I lost Kit and Karen to the Dealer's Room line so I could go to a Workshop. But I still had fun. That Dalek was awesome...I wanted to hug it, but I didn't. I met a lot of lovely people, and got accepted into the Doctor Who group. That was so awesome, twas the first time I felt like I really belonged to a cosplay group. I also had to explain a few things about Doctor Who to Kitsune, like the Weeping Angel, and the Drums. Then, I went to the Sherlock shoot with Kit, and that was a blast.

Saturday:
Woke up in the morn, and found my wigcap was missing so I had to go buy a new one quickly. Got to hang out with a wonderful Castiel cosplayer. Then, went to the South Park shoot for Kitsune. Afterward, went to the outdoor fountains to meet up with the Doctor Who group, only to find out we were being moved to the indoor fountains. But, I waited with the Rose cosplayer/organizer for straglers, because I feel as if it was my fault that everyone was showing up at 3, because I'm clowncrown16 on the Otakon boards, and I accidently said 3....again, I'M SO SORRY! Finally got to see the Doctors perform the Time Warp in person. Went to Anime Press Your Luck, which was quite amusing, and I'm kinda glad I didn't get picked for the drawing because I would've sucked! Me and Kitsune stayed in Artist Alley for a bit, because we waited for our comissions to be done. She had us drawn by one artist, and I'm just so glad another artist put up with my weird Harry Potter pairing, she smiled at it too! I shipped Harry and Neville! And I cherish the drawing she did! Also, had "That's So Cute Buttons" draw a Harry/Neville button for me as well, and I wore it proud! Also, got into a strange discussion of Harry Potter pairings, because a booth was selling badges of them, and I said mine was strange. I stopped talking in the discussion after I said Sorting Hat/Gryffindor Sword, and I only said it for the LOLz. Then, after me and Kit picked up our comissions, we just went back to the room, since mom was with Mat and Gianna at the rave, and we watched Merlin, but I fell asleep at the end of the first episode.

Sunday:
None of us really didn't want to get up, but I was the first. I think I just wander meanlessly for Sunday, but I did buy an epic rabbit ear hat from Mad Hatterz.

To all the Doctor Who cosplayers: Thank you so much for being awesome and nice, this is like the first time I felt like I belonged in a cosplay group. I was the Donna Noble in her Silence in the Library outfit holding a shoebox TARDIS.

To the Weeping Angel cosplayer: Thank you for scaring my friend, totally made my day.

To the 10th Doctor cosplayer, on Friday, we stood near the Dalek about an hour or two before the shoot, you came up behind me and told me to smile and took our picture together, told me "I was cut off", then took another. First, I wanna say I thought you were cute -///- and second, I kinda want to see the photo you took of us.

To everyone who attended Otakon this year This year was epic...and I'm kinda sad to say that this year may have been the last year I'll go to Otakon, considering I have college coming up, and I'm a little on the poor side. Again, thank you everyone.
